The Disneyland Resort is looking forward to another year of honoring inspiring students who are taking action to create a brighter tomorrow through Dreamers & Doers, which recognizes outstanding Orange County high school students making a difference in their community or school. From each year’s student nominees, several Shining Stars are honored, and a select few are recognized as Luminaries, each of whom receives a grant for a nonprofit of their choice.
“I love giving to my community and am grateful that Disney has supported and encouraged me in my passion.” said Dalton Bourne, a 2017 Dreamers & Doers Luminary. Dalton created a campaign called “On the Road. Off the Phone.” to encourage his school and local community to say no to texting and driving. As a Luminary, he was awarded $3,000 and chose to pay it forward to Breakthrough San Juan Capistrano.
Applications are available through Oct. 13, 2017 at publicaffairs.disneyland.com.
