Every day at Disney’s PCH Grill at Paradise Pier Hotel, I try to recycle as much as I can. I like to conserve the resources we have and prevent excessive waste. I also try to encourage others to be mindful of their waste, especially new cast members who are just learning about our Food Scraps and Mixed Recycling programs. Through these programs, we are able to minimize waste by turning food scraps into animal feed and collecting mixed recyclables which helps us divert more materials from the landfills.
I was honored to be nominated by my fellow cast members as the 2017 Environmentality Champion of the Year for my conservation efforts in my work location and in my interactions with others. Whenever I can, I try to share the benefits of conserving resources and recycling in hopes that others will get excited about Environmentality too.
Our planet is so important, and I would like to see it remain unchanged so that future generations can enjoy it too. I think that if we all do the right thing, we can make a huge difference.
