Years ago, my grandmother received care from Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, and at the time, they were doing some of the best work around for patients who have suffered from brain or spinal cord injuries. More recently, my best friend also benefitted from the hospital. That’s why I have personally donated to Rancho Los Amigos Foundation for more than 20 years in support of supplemental activities and programs that the county can’t afford to fund. I recently began nominating the foundation for the Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund each year, which allows cast members to donate as little as a dollar per week to nominate their favorite nonprofit for a $5,000 grant.
Rancho Los Amigos has impacted two of the most important people in my life. For that reason, I am so thankful for the great work they do and for the positive impact they have on their patients. It is so special for me to have this opportunity, as a Disneyland Resort cast member and Disney VoluntEAR, to donate to Rancho Los Amigos Foundation in order to help them continue their legacy.
