Disneyland Resort engineers Giuliana Haro and Paula Quintana were honored with the Great Minds in STEM Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Award (HENAAC), recognizing them as leaders and innovators, symbols of Hispanic contributions at the highest level and role models to the community.
“I am very happy and honored to know my accomplishments are recognized by my colleagues and serve as motivating examples to others in the community,” said Paula Quintana, ride control engineer. “I enjoy having a positive impact on other people and this distinction is the opportunity to inspire others who relate to me and who are pursuing careers in STEM.”
HENAAC emphasizes the importance of keeping technology at the forefront, honors excellence, builds networks and recognizes the impact of a focus on STEM. “This award recognizes the nation’s top engineers and scientists in the Hispanic community and brings awareness that the Hispanic community is stepping up to the plate at a national and global level,” said Giuliana Haro, architecture and facilities engineer. “For me this award is a symbol that, regardless of your ethnicity or gender, when you are focused, give it your best and are consistent, you cannot fail!”
