On Sept. 25, Executive Pastry Chef Jorge Sotelo was honored by the Orange County Restaurant Association as 2016 Pastry Chef of the Year. Voted upon by the local food-loving public, the 5th annual Golden Foodie Awards celebrate and recognize local culinary experts and fan-favorite restaurants.
After immigrating to the U.S. from Mexico in 1994, Sotelo began his Disney career as a dishwasher at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. Throughout his 21-year career, Sotelo has taken on many professional development opportunities including intensive courses at a French pastry school. He attributes his success to the support of his family and leaders.
