The Disneyland Resort brought the spirit of the season to Children’s Hospital of Orange County for the annual CHOC holiday party for patients and their families on Dec. 7. The event featured Disney characters clad in their holiday finest, and Disney VoluntEARS helped children decorate gingerbread cookies to embellish a giant gingerbread castle made by Resort food and beverage cast members.
Disney VoluntEARS also brightened the spirits of U.S. Marines who serve during the holidays by decking the halls of Camp Pendleton with holiday decorations on Dec. 10. “Operation Sparkle” is a holiday tradition performed by several members of the Disneyland Resort entertainment team.
Lastly, the Disneyland Resort collected thousands of holiday gifts, donated by cast and guests, for local children in need during the annual U.S. Marines Toys for Tots drive.
