More than a dozen Orange County students ages 15-19 participated in the first Disney Performing Arts Conservatory at the Disneyland Resort. The five-day series of workshops focusing on acting, dance and vocals culminated in a live performance in Disney California Adventure park. Recognized artists taught participants what it’s like to be a Disney performer, and workshops included meeting Broadway star Susan Egan and Disney Channel star Caroline Sunshine.
“The conservatory gave me great opportunities to learn new aspects of theatre, receive training from working professionals, and to network with fellow performers from all over the country,” said Jessica Irvine, 17, one of three students the Disneyland Resort sponsored from Orange County School of the Arts.
