Anaheim residents welcomed the opening of several Disney-sponsored upgrades in city parks this month including a new skate park at Schweitzer Park, and a pickleball court and the refurbishment of a field for softball and soccer at Twila Reid Park. A second Disney-sponsored skate park also opened at Palm Lane park last month. In the last five years, the Disneyland Resort has donated $1.5 million to Anaheim parks as part of an ongoing commitment to provide places where families can have fun together.
Since June, residents enjoyed Endless Summer Celebrations and movie nights in Anaheim parks, and storybook readings by Disney Ambassadors in Anaheim libraries. The last Endless Summer Celebration will take place at John Marshall Park on Oct. 1, featuring free Disney and community entertainment, family game and activity booths, face painting, photo booths, food trucks and more.
