Orange County, California had a record number of tourists last year, with Anaheim welcoming 22.5 million visitors, up 3.5% from 2014. Last year marked the third straight record-breaking year for visitors to Anaheim, who contributed $7.3 billion to the Orange County economy. Over the last five years, Anaheim’s visitor volume has risen nearly 30 percent.
At Walt Disney World Resort, Bob Chapek, chairman, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, joined Florida Governor Rick Scott, and Will Seccombe, president and CEO, Visit Florida to announce Florida welcomed a record 105 million visitors in 2015. The number of travel-related jobs also reached a record high, with 1.2 million Floridians employed in the tourism industry.
