On Jan. 20, more than 12,000 runners from 14 countries and all 50 states participated in the 2nd annual Tinker Bell Half Marathon. Many runners donned fairy wings and tutus for the women-focused race, and thousands more participated in the weekend’s other runDisney events, including the 5K and children’s races. The Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend generated an estimated $14 million for the local economy.
Following the races, the Disneyland Resort donated 660 pounds of clothing and accessories to Orange County Goodwill, and more than 2,200 meal boxes to the Orange County Food Bank.
