Three students from Brea Olinda High School (BOHS) in Brea, Calif. will join nearly 130 environmentally conscious youth from around the world for the Disney Kids and Nature Celebration at the Walt Disney World Resort April 12-14. Katherine Gwaltney, Jennifer Janneck and Briana Perlson were selected to participate based on their environmental volunteerism at BOHS, which includes helping the Disneyland Resort and Inside the Outdoors lead an Earth Day activity for local Boys & Girls Clubs April 21.
Key components of the Disney Kids and Nature Celebration include the world premiere of Disneynature’s “Chimpanzee,” a special Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund awards ceremony, and a Disney Friends for Change Youth Summit designed to foster long-term conservation values and promote peer-to-peer mentorship.
