Vice President, Resort Hotels and Downtown Disney District
Jon Storbeck is the vice president of Resort Hotels and the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. In this role, he oversees all daily operations for the seaside-themed Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, the modern classic Disneyland Hotel, and the luxurious Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. In addition, his responsibilities include the operations of Downtown Disney, a 20-acre shopping, dining and entertainment district that is host to dozens of Disney and third-party owned and operated establishments including: World of Disney, the House of Blues, the LEGO® Store, ESPN Zone and Starbucks®.
Jon also leads the security and emergency services team and the environmental initiatives for the Disneyland Resort, as well as Disney Special Activities for all domestic theme parks and resorts.
Jon began his career with Disney in 1983 as an attractions host in Disneyland Park and has held a variety of leadership roles within Operations, including Food & Beverage and Resort Development for the opening of Disney California Adventure Park. In his previous role as vice president, Disneyland Park, Jon successfully oversaw the opening and integration of several new experiences, including Princess Fantasy Faire, Mickey and the Magical Map, and the Market House conversion.
With more than 30 years of experience at the Disneyland Resort, Jon has accumulated a diverse operations background, broad Resort knowledge, strong leadership and sound business sense.
Active in the community, Jon serves on the CHOC Children’s Foundation board of directors and leads the Anaheim Expansion task force for Taller San Jose. Jon also is affiliated with the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), where he chairs the Facility Operations Committee. He is a past chairman of the board of directors for the Orange County/Inland Empire chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Jon, his wife Katie, and their four children reside in North Tustin.
