A $60,000 donation from the Disneyland Resort, Angels Baseball Foundation, and the Anaheim Ducks has helped the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim expand a youth outreach program to children who reside in the Anna Drive neighborhood, and four additional high-need areas. The program includes transportation to the local Boys & Girls Club seven days a week, and follows a $250,000 donation from the Disneyland Resort to the Anaheim Community Foundation in June, in support of disadvantaged Anaheim youth.
“These donations allow us to add additional capacity and give at least 200 more young people the opportunity to participate in Boys and Girls Clubs programs for an entire year,” said John Machiaverna, president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim board of directors. “We are thrilled and honored that the Angels, Ducks, and the Disneyland Resort are supporting this effort.”
